Moderna strikes a deal with Canada to build an mRNA manufacturing center — and it’s looking for more global pacts just like it

The fast-growing mRNA biotech Moderna has struck a deal to build a new manufacturing facility in Canada that will provide a full supply of their vaccines to the US neighbor up north. And the company sees this alliance as the basic template that they can use in other countries around the world — many of which have been scrambling for any supplies of the Covid-19 vaccine they can get.
